Michael is responsible for quantitative analysis for client investments as a fund manager.
After graduating from Bath University in 1986, he joined an investment bank to trade international equities from London. Apart from a one-year break in The Netherlands to complete an MSc in genetics, he was a broker and trader on the Paris Bourse and the Madrid Stock exchange for several years before returning to London in 1997 to head proprietary and quantitative trading for Credit Lyonnais.
From 2002 to 2007, Michael worked as a portfolio manager for CQS (a quantitative investment house). Prior to joining CCLA he worked as a consultant on equity quantitative investment.
Michael is a CFA charterholder and has published papers on sustainable investments.
